Bint El Ard

Located along the Mediterranean coast in Jesir Al Zarka, Bint Al Ard is a socially driven architectural intervention that serves as a catalyst for women’s empowerment. 
Developed through a participatory design process involving local women, the project reflects the voices, needs, and aspirations of its users. A series of community workshops and design dialogues informed the spatial program and material choices, ensuring cultural relevance and long-term impact. The center integrates a handicrafts store, flexible learning spaces, and communal gathering areas all designed to support education, economic agency, and social cohesion. 
Project was designed and built with women collaboration and completed in February 2023.
